2008 Photo Workshop/Tour Schedule

Our photography workshop/tours have been specifically designed for the photographer who loves the natural world and wants to learn how to solve problems in the field.  We work together in some of the most beautiful areas to learn how to find images in what we see, how to visualize the final project and how to successfully make stunning images.

Effective communication is a part of the creative process that makes one image stand out over the others. Your vision is unique and it is with this in mind that we discuss and put into practice creative design processes. A variety of creative techniques are demonstrated.

Through our fieldwork, evaluations of images and slide presentations, the photographers learn to develop methods that will help them reach a new understanding of their art.  Regardless of your photographic abilities, our programs offer a wide breadth of photographic challenges and experiences.

SOUTHERN UTAH PHOTO TOUR/WORKSHOP

Sunday, May 18 – Saturday, May 24, 2008

This is a workshop planned to explore the landscape of some of Utah’s most fabulous parks and wilderness areas.  We visit the majestic Zion National Park,  Bryce Canyon National Park, and Kodachrome Basin State Park.  We also plan to visit some wonderful off-the-beaten-track areas in the high country if the winter’s snow pack allows it.  There are many beautiful landscapes to explore and photograph.

In addition, we have arranged to visit with Martin Tyner, wildlife rehabilitator and photograph some majestic birds of prey.  It is a very unique and special opportunity and one that you won’t want to miss.

If you want to get a feeling for this trip, I wrote about it for Apogee Photo Magazine this year.  For more about Martin and the work done with the birds this year, look at the story about the Lone Survivor and the one that my friend, Anne Westfall wrote about her experience releasing a golden eagle.  Here are the links:
