Workshops

Between writing articles, moving stock photos, teaching the Apogee Photo Online Classes and my various travel plans, 2012 is already proving to be a very busy year. Regrettably, I’m going to have to delay scheduling my workshops for you. Please do keep checking back in during the year, as I am still hoping to be able to meet up with you for at least one workshop where we can join in with all that nature as to offer.

Southern California Photography Conference 2012

I'm delighted to announce that I will be a speaker at the Southern California Photography Conference 2012. I will be presenting my program called "Nature by Design". It is a program that will help you visualize how to use design concepts in creating stunning nature images. The Conference is on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds in the Harley Davidson Building. Please plan on joining in. It is a fantastic opportunity to learn and meet some pretty special photographers.

Our photography workshop/tours have been specifically designed for the photographer who loves the natural world and wants to learn how to solve problems in the field. We work together in some of the most beautiful areas to learn how to find images in what we see, how to visualize the final project and how to successfully make stunning images.

Effective communication is a part of the creative process that makes one image stand out over the others. Your vision is unique and it is with this in mind that we discuss and put into practice creative design processes. A variety of creative techniques are demonstrated.

Through our fieldwork, evaluations of images and slide presentations, the photographers learn to develop methods that will help them reach a new understanding of their art. Regardless of your photographic abilities, our programs offer a wide breadth of photographic challenges and experiences.

Fees

The instruction fee does not include lodging, meals, or transportation. There is a $100.00 fee for each non-participant spouse/friend. Their fee does not include lodging, meals, transportation, classroom time or photographic instruction, but does include all field sessions and evening discussion sessions

Reservations

Because we limit the size of our workshops, all workshop/tour reservations are accepted on a confirmed basis with a deposit. Spring Wildflower reservations require the full fee for confirmation. We suggest making your confirmed reservations at the earliest possible date.

Our Refund Policy

Refunds are offered on the following schedule: We refund 100% of your deposit if you must cancel 60 days prior to the trip. On cancellations made after 60 days prior to the trip, we return your full deposit less a $30.00 cancellation fee. The full trip fee for all participants and non-participating spouse/friend is due 30 days prior to the trip departure. If you should need to cancel after that time, we offer either a refund of 80% of the full trip fee or we apply the full fee paid to another workshop to be taken within the next twelve months. No refunds after the workshop has begun. If we cancel the workshop at any time, we fully return all deposits and fees.

Accommodations

I will always publish the motel/hotel information where I will be staying and where the workshop activities will be centered. I also list other accommodations or resources in the area. You are responsible for making your own reservations.

Gift Certificates

Give the special photographer in your life a photographic workshop. We will send you a presentation packet that includes the gift certificate and the trip details. These gift certificates must be full paid prior to being issued and are non-refundable. If you choose to accompany the lucky photographer, you will receive a $25.00 refund on your trip or on your non-participant fee.
